Case study – 6 months results
MindChamps is one of the leading early learning providers in Australia and this was expected to be seen in their search engine presence as well. The website had multiple On-page SEO issues that went under the client’s radar. The most impactful ones were multiple 404 pages, missing key 301 redirect from www to non-www version of the website, missing meta titles and descriptions, broken internal links…
Another challenge was low-quality content that was outdated, thin and in some cases duplicate. All these issues caused low organic performance and visibility.
Solution for the On-page SEO was simple: Audit – Prioritise – Communicate – Execute! Starting from the campaign’s day one, we addressed the most impactful On-page SEO issues that were identified during the initial 120-point audit. Issues were then sorted by priority before we eliminated them one by one. The client was aware of all implementations in real-time.
On the content side, we conducted an overall content audit considering the most important measurements pulled from Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Ahrefs. The audit was followed by keyword research that served as a base for content upgrades targeting thin and low performing content. During the whole content optimisation process, we always keep a close eye on competitors to identify new content opportunities and keyword gaps.
Incredible results were achieved in the first three months of the campaign. MindChamps has seen a 30% increase in the number of users coming from organic search! In the following three months, visibility for 282 keywords selected by the client grew from 9.5% to 13% which is a 37% increase. On top of this, On-page SEO work paid off even sooner – SEO health score grew from 74% to 90% in the first 2 months of the campaign which definitely played a key role in the overall organic growth. Many people are fearful of Google algorithm updates, so it’s important to mention that these results were achieved while 2 major updates rolled out in June and September of 2019.
